Complete set for effective pre-filtration

This 3-stage pre-filter has been designed as an integrated module that simplifies installation and later maintenance. Three purification stages are enclosed in one block with universal 1″ GW connections, making the system convenient to install and service.

This solution is suitable wherever effective protection of fixtures, appliances, and further stages of water treatment matters. The filter reduces mechanical contaminants and improves the organoleptic parameters of utility water.

3-stage filtration – how this set works

1. 5 µm foam cartridge (sediment)

• Function: deep filtration of mechanical contaminants – traps sand, silt, rust deposits, and larger solid particles.
• Where: usually installed as the first stage, before carbon cartridges, to protect the subsequent filtration stages.
• Replacement: every 3–6 months*

2. Granular activated carbon cartridge

• Function: water clarification – reduction of chlorine, aromas and odors, organic sediment.
• Where: second stage – pre-cleans the water, leaving it clean and neutral in taste.
• Replacement: every 3–6 months*

3. Carbon block cartridge

• Function: adsorption of chlorine, pesticides and most organic compounds, heavy metals; significant improvement in water taste and odor.
• Where: third stage – the block cartridge removes chemical substances very effectively before the water enters the further circuit.
• Replacement: every 3–6 months*

* Recommended replacement intervals may be shorter in case of high water contamination, temperature, or pressure.

Thanks to this configuration, the set can operate as an effective pre-filter in a house, apartment, commercial premises, or as a stage preceding more advanced solutions such as an osmosis filter or reverse osmosis system.

Operation and everyday use

The integrated design makes it easier to access the housings and speeds up service work. The 10" standard allows the use of popular filter cartridges, which simplifies later operation and replacement planning.

The system works without electrical power, using the pressure present in the water installation. This means simple, passive operation and convenient everyday use.

Operating and installation instructions

1. Preparation before installation

1.1. Checking the set contents

• 3 × filter housing with pre-connected heads (in one frame)
• 1 × mounting plate
• 1 × installation wrench
• 6 × O-rings (seals) in the heads, pre-installed
• 3 × filter cartridges
• 12 screws for fastening the plate to the heads

1.2. Tools and additional materials (outside the set)

• drill with ø6 mm bit
• ø6 mm wall plugs
• PH2 Phillips screwdriver
• technical petroleum jelly
• 1" male threaded water connectors for installation
• Teflon tape or Teflon thread to secure the connector threads
• optionally an adjustable wrench or open-end wrench for metal connectors

1.3. Preparing the cartridges

1. Remove each cartridge from the plastic packaging.
2. Place the cartridges in a clean container with water and soak for 30 min.
3. After that time, remove gently and allow excess water to drain off.

2. Choosing and preparing the installation location

1. Select the location: behind the main shut-off valve, in a space with easy access for servicing and cartridge replacement.
2. Maintain at least 10 cm of free space below and above the filter frame.
3. Close the shut-off valve supplying water and release pressure by opening the nearest tap downstream from the filter.

3. Mounting the mounting plate and housing frame

1. Place the mounting plate under the frame of the three heads, leveling it.
2. Mark the mounting holes corresponding to the holes in the plate.
3. Drill the holes and insert the wall plugs.
4. Screw the plate to the wall using the plugs.
5. Hang the housing frame on the plate, engaging the upper frame profile.

4. Installing the water connections

1. Select 1" GZ connectors that fit the 1" GW threads in the heads.
2. Wrap the GZ threads with Teflon tape (several turns).
3. Screw the GZ connectors into the GW threads of the heads: the side marked with the IN arrow – water inlet from the installation, the side marked OUT – water outlet after filtration.
4. Tighten the connectors with an adjustable wrench until resistance is felt.
5. Connect the water installation pipes to the installed connectors, sealing the connections.

5. Installing the filter cartridges

Reminder: the cartridges should already have been soaked for 30 min.

1. Unscrew each housing.
2. Check that the O-ring is in place.
3. Apply a layer of petroleum jelly to the O-ring.
4. Insert the cartridges into the housing in this order: mechanical (foam), granular activated carbon cartridge, carbon block.
5. Make sure each cartridge is seated vertically.
6. Tighten the housing by hand or with the wrench until you feel slight resistance.

6. Start-up and leak test

1. Slowly open the main water supply valve (1/4 turn).
2. Observe the set for 2–3 min. If you notice leaks, tighten the appropriate housing or connector slightly.
3. After ensuring tightness, open the valve fully.

7. Flushing and putting into use

1. Open the nearest tap after the filter and flush the cartridges for 5–10 min.
2. Check the mounting stability and seals.
3. Record the installation date on the housing label – this will make cartridge replacement planning easier.
