➡️Description of Cartridges and Replacement Terms

1️⃣. Foam Cartridge 5 µm (sedimentary)

• Operation: Deep filtration of mechanical impurities – retains sand, silt, rusty deposits, and larger solid particles.
• Where: Usually installed as the first stage, before carbon cartridges, to protect further filtration stages.
• Replacement: every 3–6 months*

2️⃣. Activated Carbon Cartridge (granulate)

• Operation: Water clarification – reduction of chlorine, aromas and odors, organic deposits.
• Where: Second stage – pre-cleans the water, leaving it clean and neutral in taste.
• Replacement: every 3–6 months*

3️⃣. Carbon Block Cartridge

• Operation: Adsorption of chlorine, pesticides, and most organic compounds, heavy metals; significant improvement in taste and odor of water.
• Where: Third stage – the block cartridge effectively removes chemical substances before the water enters further circulation

❓ FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

1. How often should I replace the cartridges?

We recommend every 3–6 months*, depending on water quality, pressure, and temperature. Higher water contamination or higher temperature accelerates cartridge wear.

2. Does the filter require electrical power?

No – the system operates passively, using pressure in the water system.

3. Can I install it myself?

Yes – the set includes all accessories (wrench, screws, plate, tape), and we have described the installation step by step above; we also include a detailed user manual.

4. Does the filter lower water pressure?

Yes, minimally - the pressure drop (0.1–0.3 bar) still provides effective filtration without losing user comfort.

5. Are the cartridges suitable for water temperatures up to 45 °C?

Yes – all components are designed to operate in the range of 1–45 °C.

6. Can I replace the filter cartridges with others in the future?

Yes, the housings are universal and fit most standard 10" cartridges (the most popular)

⚙️ User Manual and Installation

1️⃣ Preparation Before Installation

1.1. Check the contents of the set

• 3 × filter housings with pre-connected heads (in one frame)
• 1 × mounting plate
• 1 × mounting wrench
• 6 × O-rings (seals) in the heads, pre-installed
• 3 × filter cartridges
• 12 screws for attaching the plate to the heads

1.2. Tools and additional materials (not included in the set)

• drill with ø6 mm drill bit
• ø6 mm expansion plugs
• cross screwdriver (PH2)
• Technical grease
• 1" GZ water mounting connections
• teflon tape or teflon thread for securing the connection threads
• optionally an adjustable or flat wrench for metal connections

1.3. Preparing the cartridges

1. Remove each cartridge from the plastic packaging.
2. Place the cartridges in a clean container with water and soak for 30 minutes.
3. After this time, gently remove them, allowing excess water to drain.

Note: Soaking prevents air bubbles and improves filtration efficiency.

2️⃣. Choosing and Preparing the Installation Location

1. Choose a location

   Behind the main water shut-off valve.

   In a space with easy access for servicing and replacing cartridges.

2. Leave at least 10 cm of free space below and above the filter frame.
3. Close the water supply shut-off valve and release pressure by opening the nearest tap after the filter.

3️⃣. Installing the Mounting Plate and Housing Frame

1. Align the mounting plate under the frame of the three heads, leveling it.
2. Mark the mounting holes corresponding to the holes in the plate.
3. Drill holes, insert expansion plugs
4. Attach the plate to the wall using the plugs
5. Hang the housing frame on the plate, hooking the upper profile of the frame. ```html

4️⃣ Installation of water connections

Note: The body set has 1" internal threads at the inlet and outlet. The customer must select external connectors (GZ)

1. Select 1" GZ connectors that match the 1" GW threads in the heads.
2. Wrap the GZ threads with Teflon tape (a dozen turns).
3. Screw the GZ connectors onto the GW threads of the heads:

   The side marked with the arrow IN – water supply from the installation.

   The side marked OUT – water outlet after filtration.

4. Tighten the connectors with an adjustable wrench until you feel resistance
5. Connect the water installation pipes to the installed connectors, sealing the connections

5️⃣ Installation of filter cartridges

Reminder: The cartridges should have been soaked for 30 minutes.

1. Unscrew each body:
2. Check if the O-ring is in place.
3. Apply a layer of petroleum jelly to the O-ring.
4. Insert the cartridges into the body in the following order:

   Mechanical (foam)

   Cartridge with granulated activated carbon

   Block with activated carbon

5. Make sure each cartridge is seated vertically.
6. Screw the body: by hand or with a wrench until you feel slight resistance

6️⃣ Start-up and leak test

1. Slowly open the main water supply valve (1/4 turn).
2. Observe the set for 2–3 minutes:

   If you notice leaks, tighten the appropriate body or connection slightly.

3. Once you are sure of the tightness, open the valve completely.

7️⃣ Flushing and handover for use

1. Open the nearest tap after the filter and flush the cartridges for 5–10 minutes
2. Check the stability of the installation and seals.
3. Write the installation date on the body labels – this will facilitate planning for cartridge replacement.
