The three-stage water filter has been designed as a complete set for installation at the system inlet. Thanks to this, it operates right at the beginning of the building’s water circulation and helps protect the entire household installation.

The main effects of the system are:

• purification,
• water softening,
• chlorine reduction.

This solution works particularly well wherever protection of pipes, faucets, heaters, washing machines, dishwashers, and other devices in constant contact with water is important. Unlike devices such as an osmotic filter, reverse osmosis filter, or reverse osmosis system, this model works as pre-filtration for the entire installation, not just at a single point of use.

3 filtration stages – how this system works

The three-stage filtration is provided by specialist Aquafilter filter cartridges. Each filter cartridge is responsible for a different treatment stage, which allows the entire set to operate in a multi-stage and comprehensive way.

Stage I – FCPS20, 20-micron mechanical filtration

The FCPS20 cartridge is made of polypropylene nonwoven fabric with a filtration accuracy of 20 microns. It is an effective sediment cartridge designed to remove mechanical impurities from water.

Main advantages of the FCPS20 cartridge:

• very high filtration accuracy,
• removes fine fractions of solid contaminants from water, such as silt, sludge, and similar deposits larger than 20 microns, which may occur in both well water and tap water,
• serves as protection for expensive carbon, softening, and iron-removal cartridges, as well as for the water system itself and expensive fittings,
• the cartridge is made of high-quality foam, i.e. polypropylene nonwoven fabric, formed in a way that ensures water is filtered through the entire structure of the cartridge.

Cartridge lifespan: 3-6 months depending on water quality.

Stage II – FCCST, softening cartridge with ion-exchange resin

The second stage is responsible for reducing water hardness. The FCCST cartridge removes calcium and magnesium ions from the water, replacing them with harmless sodium ions. As a result, it helps protect the installation and devices against limescale buildup.

Main advantages of the FCCST cartridge:

• the cartridge contains technologically treated ion-exchange granules with grain sizes from 0.2 to 0.7 mm,
• it is characterized by exceptionally effective ion exchange of calcium and magnesium ions for sodium ions, softening the water,
• used for cold and hot domestic water,
• prevents limescale buildup in household appliances and industrial machines,
• the cartridge components have been approved by NSF and FDA,
• the cartridge has a PZH hygiene certificate,
• designed so that water flowing through the cartridge penetrates the entire ion-exchange bed, ensuring maximum performance.

Cartridge lifespan: 3-6 months depending on water quality.

Stage III – FCCBL-S, granular carbon cartridge

The third filtration stage is responsible for improving the organoleptic parameters of water and reducing chlorine and selected impurities. The FCCBL-S cartridge contains granular carbon made from coconut shells.

Granular carbon cartridges remove chlorine and its derivatives from water, while also improving its taste and odor. Their important advantage is that they do not cause a pressure drop in the system, which makes them well suited for installation at the water inlet to the house.

Main advantages of the FCCBL-S cartridge:

• removes up to 99% of free chlorine and chlorine derivatives from water,
• removes organic contaminants, including phenol and benzene,
• contains carbon from coconut shells and removes heavy metals: Pb, Cu, Hg, Sr, Cs,
• softens water,
• supports reduction of boiler scale,
• provides excellent filtration also under pressure drop conditions,
• removes up to 85% of chlorine-derived pesticides,
• removes mechanical impurities down to 5 microns,
• improves the taste and odor of water,
• stands out for the very long lifespan of the carbon cartridge.

Pressure gauges included – convenient filter operation monitoring

The set includes 2 pressure gauges. They allow ongoing pressure readings, which significantly simplifies monitoring system operation and determining when the cartridges need to be replaced.

BACinix centering discs with nanosilver

The set includes 3 antibacterial centering discs. They are made using BACinix antibacterial technology based on nanosilver, which has a bacteriostatic effect and helps prevent the growth of microorganisms inside the filtration system. This solution supports longer operating time and protects the system against microbiological contamination.

The centering discs also perform an important installation and protective function:

• make correct cartridge installation easier,
• help prevent the growth of bacterial flora,
• reduce the risk of pathogenic microorganism growth,
