The set includes original Aquafilter cartridges for a 3-stage filter. All elements have been selected so that together they handle the basic and very important stages of water treatment in domestic installations.

How does this cartridge set work?

The Aquafilter FCPS20 FCCST FCCBL-S set works in stages. Each cartridge is responsible for a different range of purification, which is why the whole set helps better prepare water for everyday use while also protecting the further elements of the installation.

FCPS20 – mechanical sediment filtration

FCPS20 is a cartridge made of polypropylene nonwoven with a filtration rating of 20 microns. Its task is to retain mechanical impurities, that is, sediment contaminants present in tap water or water from a private well.

The cartridge effectively removes fine fractions of solid contaminants larger than 20 microns, such as silt, sludge, and similar deposits that may occur in water during distribution or be naturally present at the intake.

Thanks to this function, FCPS20 serves an important protective role. It is typically used, among others, in under-sink and inline filters as protection for more expensive carbon, softening, and iron-removal cartridges, as well as for the water installation and fixtures themselves.

The cartridge is made of high-quality foam, that is, polypropylene nonwoven, formed in a way that ensures water filtration through the entire structure of the cartridge. This solution supports uniform operation of the filtering medium and effective separation of sediment.

FCCST – water softening and additional filtration

FCCST is a water-softening cartridge with ion-exchange granules. Its primary function is to reduce calcium and magnesium ions by replacing them with harmless sodium ions. In practice, this means limiting scale formation and better protection of appliances and installations exposed to hard water.

The cartridge is recommended for protecting household appliances, heating equipment, and plumbing installations against the buildup of calcium and magnesium deposits.

FCCBL-S is a granular carbon cartridge containing carbon from coconut shells. It is responsible for reducing chlorine and its derivatives, as well as for a noticeable improvement in the taste and odor of water. This is a very important stage in domestic water treatment, especially when you want more comfortable use of water in the kitchen and protection of further system components.

Granular cartridges do not cause pressure drops in the installation, which is why they are well suited for mounting at the water inlet to the house. At the same time, they provide high operating efficiency and long service life.
