Description
Water softening cartridge with ion exchange resin granules.
It removes calcium and magnesium ions from water, replacing them with harmless sodium ions. Recommended for protecting household appliances, heating systems, and plumbing installations from the buildup of calcium and magnesium deposits (scale).
Fits most 10-inch cartridge housings - it can be used in housings mounted on pipes and in under-sink filters.
Softening cartridges contain fine-grained ion exchange resin granules with a high capacity for exchanging calcium and magnesium ions for sodium ions. The cartridges are designed so that water flows in one end of the cartridge and out the other, passing through the entire bed of ion exchange granules to ensure maximum effectiveness. The cartridges have their own end filter, preventing granule particles from escaping outside the filter.

To extend the lifespan of the cartridge, a housing with a mechanical filter from the FCPS or FCPP series should be installed before the housing with the carbon cartridge.
