How does a softener with a carbon filter work?

EcoWater eVOLUTION REFINER BOOST combines two water quality improvement processes: softening and carbon filtration. Thanks to this, it works more broadly than a standard water softener, and its function complements a home water treatment system.

• in water flowing through the special media inside the device, calcium and magnesium ions responsible for water hardness are exchanged for sodium ions,
• after several or a dozen days, when the ion exchange capacity of the media is exhausted, automatic regeneration takes place,
• regeneration of the media with a water and salt solution takes about 2 h, takes place at a convenient time for you, for example at night, and during this time you can use unsoftened water in the house,
• by adding a layer of activated carbon to the device, unpleasant chlorine taste and odor are additionally removed from the water.
