How does the softener with carbon filter work?

EcoWater Evolution REFINER POWER operates based on the proven ion exchange process and additional activated carbon filtration.

• in water flowing through the special medium inside the device, calcium and magnesium ions responsible for water hardness are exchanged for sodium ions,
• after several or a dozen days, when the ion exchange capacity of the resin is exhausted, automatic regeneration takes place,
• regeneration of the medium with a water and salt solution takes approx. 2 h, takes place at a convenient time for you, e.g. at night, and during this time you can use water in the home, although it will be untreated,
• by adding an activated carbon layer to the device, the unpleasant taste and smell of chlorine is additionally removed from the water.

Why does soft water make such a big difference?

Hard water contains excess minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and iron. Operation and important information

• the ion exchange resin and activated carbon are effective for approx. 10–15 years, depending on water quality,
• the softener is installed on the main cold water inlet in the house,
• the softener installation site must be equipped with an electrical socket and a drain to the sewage system,
• the only maintenance task required for the softener is periodic refilling of the tank with tablet salt, usually every several weeks.
