This compact unit combines two tasks in one housing: it effectively softens water while also improving its quality in terms of taste and odor. In practice, this means more convenient water use at home, less limescale buildup, and greater everyday comfort.

Inside, two complementary media work together: ion exchange resin responsible for hardness reduction and activated carbon made from coconut shells, which supports improved water organoleptic properties and reduces chlorine odor.

How softening and regeneration work

Softening takes place on the ion exchange resin. As water flows through, calcium and magnesium ions, which are responsible for hardness, are exchanged for sodium ions. As a result, the water becomes softer, and the installation and appliances are less exposed to limescale deposits.

When the ion exchange capacity of the media is exhausted, the device automatically switches to regeneration mode using a brine solution. This process restores the resin’s working capacity and helps maintain stable operating parameters without the need for daily manual handling.
