ALCOBLOW is a police electrochemical breathalyzer designed for efficient, everyday sobriety testing. The contactless design eliminates the need to use mouthpieces, resulting in lower operating costs and more convenient operation during serial inspections.

The device is commonly used by the Polish police, as well as by other uniformed services, including the border guard and prison service. It is also successfully used in institutions and workplaces where a fast and simple sobriety tester is needed for screening tests.

Its high operating effectiveness is ensured by an electrochemical sensor with high alcohol detection in exhaled air. The design was developed with practical operation in mind: the device is operated using only 2 buttons and 2 tri-color indicators, which makes everyday work easier even with a high number of measurements.

How does ALCOBLOW work?

The ALCOBLOW model offers 2 operating modes, allowing the testing method to be adjusted to the situation and inspection conditions.

Active mode

In active mode, the tested person activates the air sampling system with a sufficiently strong exhalation. This is the basic way of performing a measurement, allowing the presence of alcohol in exhaled air to be checked quickly.

Passive mode

Passive mode is used when the tested person cannot or does not want to provide an appropriate air sample. This mode is also suitable when it is necessary to check the contents of containers for the presence of alcohol. An additional advantage is that passive mode reacts exclusively to human breath.

Operating speed and ease of use

ALCOBLOW was designed for efficient work in the field and at inspection points. The device preparation time is about 5 seconds, and the measurement itself takes another about 5 seconds. This operating pace makes it possible to carry out screening tests quickly and without unnecessary downtime.

Another important advantage is simple operation. Two buttons and two tri-color indicators make the device easy to use, while audible and visual warning alarms provide additional support to the operator during testing.

Also worth noting are the LED indicators, which consume less energy than the extensive digital displays found in other devices of this type.
