Set for regular RO system servicing

The set has been prepared for semi-annual servicing of home RO reverse osmosis systems equipped with standard 10" housings. It is a ready-made set of 3 cartridges that makes it easy to carry out the so-called minor service without having to select components separately.

The set includes two mechanical cartridges made of polypropylene nonwoven fabric with different filtration fineness and a WWB10 block carbon cartridge. This arrangement effectively helps limit the presence of solid contaminants and compounds that affect the odor and taste of water.

Set contents

1. PP mechanical cartridge (5 µm)

   Made of polypropylene nonwoven fabric. Removes sand, sediment, silt, and rust from the water, supporting the first stage of filtration and limiting the flow of larger contaminants to the next cartridges.

2. PP mechanical cartridge (1 µm)

   Made of the same material, but provides higher filtration precision. It is very effective at retaining the finest particles, serving as a more precise stage of mechanical purification.

3. WWB10 block carbon cartridge (10")

   This is a block of sintered activated carbon (USA). It removes chlorine, chlorine-like solvents, most chlorine-based pesticides, and aromatic organic compounds. In addition, it improves the taste and odor of water thanks to its large adsorption surface.

How this filtration set works

The 3-cartridge set works in stages, which is why it is well suited as regular servicing of the pre-filtration stages in a reverse osmosis system.

Mechanical filtration

The first two PP cartridges are responsible for removing solid contaminants present in tap water or, when properly used in the system, from a private water source. They capture, among other things, sand, sediment, silt, and rust, while the 1 µm cartridge also intercepts finer particles.

Carbon filtration

The WWB10 block cartridge is responsible for reducing chlorine and selected organic compounds that affect the usable quality of the water. This stage helps improve taste and odor and supports the operation of the later components of the reverse osmosis system.

Operation and cartridge replacement

Regular cartridge replacement is the basis for efficient operation of any RO water filter. Semi-annual servicing helps maintain the efficiency of pre-filtration and reduces the drop in water treatment quality.

The set has been prepared to make standard maintenance of a home unit easier. Two mechanical cartridges take on solid contaminants, while the carbon cartridge is responsible for reducing chlorine and improving the organoleptic properties of the water.

If the system operates under more difficult conditions, with a higher sediment level or greater water consumption, replacement may be needed earlier than after 6 months.
