RO4 Aqua Vita DEMI 100 GPD filter for demineralized water

The original AQUAVITA aquarium filter is equipped with a 100 GPD membrane, high-quality AQUAVITA BPA FREE cartridges, and a refillable cartridge with MB400 resin. The set also includes the accessories needed for connection, so the kit is ready to operate as an effective filter for demineralized water.

This is a higher-performance solution used primarily in marine and freshwater aquariums. It makes it possible to obtain clean water needed to achieve soft water with a low pH and an almost zero content of nitrogen compounds. The water produced by the system can also be used for cosmetic, laboratory, and steam iron applications.

The device uses reverse osmosis, one of the most advanced methods of water purification and treatment. The system removes up to 99% of contaminants present in water, including mechanical impurities, dissolved compounds, and microorganisms.

Thanks to the use of 10-inch osmotic housings and AQUAVITA cartridges, the set allows significantly higher flow rates compared to inline filters. An additional advantage is that all connections are routed to the front panel, making installation and everyday use easier.

How the 4-stage filtration system works

RO4 Aqua Vita DEMI uses four complementary filtration stages, thanks to which the water is thoroughly purified and polished to the level required for aquarium and technical applications.

1. AQUAVITA FCPS20 sediment filter

A high-quality cartridge with a filtration accuracy of 20 microns removes mechanical impurities from tap water, such as sand, silt, and rust, with particle sizes up to 20 µm. Cartridges made of polypropylene nonwoven fabric are distinguished by very good contaminant absorption. Their structure resembles foam with a large number of open-cell microbubbles, which promotes effective capture of solid particles.

The cartridge has PZH and TUV approvals and is BPA FREE and PHALATE FREE.

2. AQUAVITA FCCBL10 sintered activated carbon filter

This stage is essential to protect the osmotic membrane. The cartridge removes 98% to 99% of free chlorine, chlorinated solvents, and aromatic hydrocarbons from water, while also improving the taste and smell of the water. It also reduces up to 85% of chlorinated pesticides, polyaromatic compounds, phenol, benzene, and organic substances.

The carbon block releases less dust than granular activated carbon, which is an additional operational advantage. The cartridge has PZH and TUV approvals and is BPA FREE and PHALATE FREE.

3. Purolite MB400 resin

A ready-to-use, homogeneous mixture of anion and cation resin from Purolite is intended for water demineralization and removal of residual impurities. MB400 is used in household and industrial devices for polishing osmotic water.

The resin canister can be opened, allowing it to be refilled. The cartridge fits 10-inch housings, which makes handling and refilling convenient in everyday use.

4. 100 GPD osmotic membrane

The semi-permeable osmotic membrane consists of many layers wound around a perforated core located inside the membrane. Contaminated water is forced under pressure onto the surface of the membrane, where water molecules pass through microscopic pores. Contaminants are separated and rejected to the drain, while purified water enters the central core through openings and flows out of the membrane under pressure.

The membrane retains 96-99% of dissolved organic and inorganic contaminants in water, heavy metals, and radioactive elements with a size of 0.01 micron.

Application
