Stage I: FCPS20M20B – 20-micron mechanical cartridge

FCPS20M20B is a mechanical cartridge designed for 20-inch BIG BLUE housings. It is characterized by very high dirt-holding capacity. Its structure resembles foam, with a large number of open-cell microbubbles on the surface, which promotes efficient sediment capture.

The cartridge effectively removes sand, silt, rust, and other mechanical impurities present in tap water. As a result, it helps protect household water installations and home appliances from excessive wear and sediment build-up.

The polypropylene nonwoven fabric used in this cartridge is resistant to chemicals and to the growth of microorganisms. The cartridge is intended for the treatment of cold drinking water or general-purpose water.

Stage II: FCCFE20BB – cartridge with active media for water de-ironing

The second cartridge is responsible for effectively trapping iron compounds dissolved in water. It was designed to protect household appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers, as well as heating equipment. It also helps reduce aesthetic and practical problems resulting from the presence of iron in water.

The de-ironing cartridge contains a special fine-grained granulate with a high capacity for capturing iron ions. Water flowing through the media penetrates its entire volume, which increases effectiveness. The media composition inside the housing also adjusts the water reaction (pH), supporting the de-ironing process.

The cartridge has its own final filter, which prevents granulate particles from escaping beyond the filter. An additional benefit is improved water taste and odor by reducing the characteristic metallic aftertaste.

This solution helps extend the operating time of the system and provides additional protection against microbiological contamination inside the filtration system.
