The original AQUAVITA aquarium filter with an AC-OM 150 GPD membrane and high-quality AQUAVITA filter cartridges has been designed for producing demineralized water. This solution is particularly valued in marine and freshwater aquatics, where stable water quality, low mineral content, and effective reduction of undesirable contaminants are essential.

The higher-output set helps obtain soft water with low pH and an almost zero content of nitrogen compounds. As a result, the water filtration system is suitable wherever a base is needed for further water preparation according to the requirements of a specific tank.

Water produced by this system can also be used for cosmetic and laboratory purposes, as well as for steam irons.

How filtration works in the RO4 reverse osmosis system

Stage 1: AQUAVITA FCPS20 sediment cartridge

This is a high-quality cartridge with a filtration rating of 20 microns. At this stage, contaminants present in tap water, such as sand, silt, and rust, with particle sizes up to 20 µm, are removed.

Polypropylene nonwoven cartridges are distinguished by very good contaminant absorption. Their structure resembles foam, with a large number of open-cell microbubbles on the surface, which promotes effective sediment retention.

The filter is certified: PZH, TUV, BPA FREE and PHALATE FREE.

Stage 2: AQUAVITA FCBL10 / FCCBL10 activated carbon cartridge

The sintered activated carbon filter is essential for protecting the osmosis membrane. It removes 98% to 99% of free chlorine, chlorinated solvents, and aromatic hydrocarbons from the water, improving taste and odor.

In addition, it reduces chlorinated pesticides, polycyclic compounds, phenol, benzene, and organic substances by up to 85%. The carbon block is characterized by lower dusting than granular carbon.

Stage 3: AQUAVITA FCPS5 sediment cartridge

This is a high-quality cartridge with a filtration rating of 5 microns. At this stage, contaminants such as sand, silt, and rust present in tap water, with particle sizes up to 5 µm, are removed.

The filter is certified: PZH, TUV, BPA FREE and PHALATE FREE.

Stage 4: AC-OM 150 GPD osmosis membrane

The semi-permeable osmosis membrane AC-OM 150 GPD consists of multiple layers wound around a perforated core placed inside the membrane. Contaminated water is forced under pressure onto the membrane surface, where water molecules pass through microscopic pores.

Contaminants are separated and discharged to the drain. Purified water passes through the openings to the central core and, under pressure, flows out of the membrane.

The membrane retains 96–99% of organic and inorganic contaminants dissolved in water, heavy metals, and radioactive elements with a size of 0.01 micron.

FR-FLUSH with BY-PASS for RO membrane flushing

The set includes FR-FLUSH – a kit for flushing the RO membrane, containing a BY-PASS and mounted to the flow restrictor. This solution makes it possible to flush sediment from the RO membrane, extending its service life by several years.
