This reverse osmosis filter effectively reduces deposits, supports water softening, and helps protect equipment against performance loss, corrosion, and foaming issues. Osmotic filter for steam generators – why does water quality matter so much?

The water used to operate steam generators should meet high quality requirements. It should not differ from the quality of water intended for human consumption. This means it must be purified of mechanical impurities, free from deposits, suspended matter, and substances that may precipitate from the water during device operation.

Proper water softening is equally important. Excessive hardness leads to limescale and deposit build-up, which in practice reduces system efficiency and may shorten the service life of the steam generator. That is why reverse osmosis is such a valued solution in applications where water purity directly affects equipment performance.

How does the RO5 wodaRO ECO system work?

It is a complete 5-stage water filter based on reverse osmosis technology. The filtration system combines pre-filtration, an osmotic membrane, and a final filter, supporting effective treatment of water used to supply steam generators.

3-stage pre-filtration

The system features 3-stage pre-filtration, which removes mechanical impurities such as rust, suspended matter, sand, and silt from the water. This stage prepares the water for the further purification process and at the same time helps protect the subsequent system components.

Pre-filtration also removes chlorine and its toxic derivatives, eliminates lead and toxic heavy metals, and reduces organic compounds, including bacteria.

100 GPD PENTAIR osmotic membrane

RO5 wodaRO ECO is equipped with a 100 GPD osmotic membrane by PENTAIR. It is an assembly of semi-permeable thin-film membranes that forms the key element of the reverse osmosis process.

In combination with polypropylene nonwoven and activated carbon filters, the membrane makes it possible to obtain crystal-clear water. The osmotic membrane removes 96-99% of all compounds dissolved in water, as well as bacteria and viruses.

In-line activated carbon filter

The system includes an in-line filter filled with activated carbon media, which reduces chlorine and other organic compounds. This is an important final stage supporting the quality of the water directed for further use.

Purified water tank

The set includes an 18-litre metal tank that provides a reserve of purified water. The user has 11-12 litres of net water available. The tank is made of white metal, and its design holds PZH and NSF approvals.
