BIG BLUE 20" housing for cold water – a durable base for an efficient filtration system

The FH20B1-B-WB BIG BLUE inline housing consists of two main parts: a sump and a head fitted with a 1" brass thread. This design has been prepared for operation in cold water installations where high efficiency, convenient handling, and the possibility of expanding the filtration system are required.

This model can operate as a single filter housing or as part of a larger set connected in series. This makes it easy to adapt for both simple residential installations and more advanced water treatment systems.

Pressure gauge and air vent – more convenient operation monitoring

The housing is equipped with an air release valve that allows air trapped inside the filter to be released after replacing the filter cartridge. This is an important part of routine operation that helps ensure proper system start-up after service.

It also includes a pressure gauge for monitoring the contamination level of the cartridges. Pressure readings help determine when the filter cartridge needs replacement, making it easier to maintain the proper performance of the entire water filtration system.

Thanks to the use of the same slot for the air vent and the pressure gauge, the housing can be expanded with a second pressure gauge. This allows pressure measurement both at the water inlet and outlet of the housing. The second pressure gauge is not included and must be purchased separately.

An additional advantage is the brass insert mounted in the slot. It enables easy screwing in and unscrewing of the air vent and pressure gauge without the risk of damaging the slot thread, improving durability during repeated servicing.

The housing is installed on the pipe supplying cold water to a house or apartment. Thanks to its high capacity, it is also used in industry, wherever effective pre-filtration or staged filtration is required.
