RO3 Aqua Vita is an original aquarium filter equipped with a Vontron 75 GPD membrane and a complete set of connection fittings. The system operates using reverse osmosis technology, regarded as one of the most advanced water purification methods. This solution removes up to 98% of contaminants present in water, including mechanical impurities, dissolved compounds, and microorganisms.

In practice, this means a convenient way to prepare water for both freshwater and marine aquatics. The filter makes it possible to obtain water with zero general hardness, low pH, and an almost zero content of nitrogen compounds, which is very important when planning stable parameters in the tank.

Convenient installation and safe operation

The system uses modern quick connectors on the inline filters. This solution makes installation easier, as well as later self-service maintenance. The quick connectors have additional protection in the form of a sealing mechanism lock, which translates into quick connection and safe everyday use.

The water obtained from the filter can be used not only in aquatics. It is also suitable for cosmetic purposes, laboratory applications, and steam irons.

Application in aquatics

The RO3 system was developed for users who want greater control over water parameters in the aquarium. This is especially important where conductivity, hardness, and the possibility of further remineralization of the water according to the requirements of the stock and plants matter.

Basic uses of the RO filter for aquarium purposes

• Reducing water conductivity – an important parameter for aquarists. This set is intended for freshwater aquatics, while for marine aquatics the system can be expanded with a DEMI module.
• Lowering pH – in most cases, the reduction is by 1–2 points*.
• Softening water – the osmosis membrane effectively removes calcium and magnesium compounds from the water, reducing general hardness to zero or close to zero dH*.

* The effect depends on the parameters of the filtered water.

Filtration stages

The 3-stage filtration system combines preliminary mechanical and carbon purification with precise separation on the osmosis membrane. Thanks to this, the membrane works under better conditions, and the entire reverse osmosis system maintains high efficiency for a long time.

1. WPL2

Inline cartridge made of polypropylene foam. It is used to filter sand, silt, rust particles, and other solid contaminants from drinking water, effectively protecting household appliances. The cartridge should be replaced at least every 6 months.

2. WWL2

The inline carbon cartridge removes contaminants such as chlorine, chlorine compounds, and organic impurities from the water. The cartridge should be replaced at least every 6 months.

3. VONTRON 75

The osmosis membrane is a set of semi-permeable thin-film membranes. Combined with polypropylene nonwoven and activated carbon filters, it makes it possible to obtain truly pure water. The osmosis membrane removes up to 99% of all compounds dissolved in water, as well as bacteria and viruses. The estimated membrane lifespan is approximately 3–5 years.

Available connection options

The set can be matched to the installation connection method. The following connection variants are available:

1. 3/8” connection (approximately 15 mm)
2. 1/2" connection (approximately 20 mm)
3. 3/4" connection (washing machine/dishwasher), approximately 25 mm
4. 1/2" connection (for shower), approximately 20 mm
5. If no connection is selected, the standard 1/2" connection is included
