3-stage under-sink system for water treatment

The FP3-K1N model has been designed as a compact under-sink system that purifies water in stages. Thanks to the use of three different filter cartridges, the water passes through successive treatment phases, and each filter cartridge is responsible for a different scope of work.

The system includes the FCPS5 cartridge, which removes mechanical impurities such as sand, silt and suspended solids up to 5 µm, the FCCST2 cartridge that reduces iron concentration and water hardness, and the FCCBKDF carbon cartridge, which removes chlorine, pesticides and organic substances, reduces the concentration of heavy metals, improves the taste and smell of the water, and has bacteriostatic properties.

This solution is suitable where ease of use, better drinking and cooking water quality, and everyday water treatment matter, without the need to choose systems such as reverse osmosis or an osmosis filter.

3 stages of water filtration

Stage 1: FCPS5 – 5-micron mechanical filtration

• Aquafilter FCPS5 is a sediment (mechanical) cartridge made of polypropylene nonwoven fabric, formed so that the filter density increases toward the core.
• It retains all kinds of mechanical impurities such as sand, silt, rust and other deposits with a particle size of up to 5 microns.
• Filtration with a precision of 5 microns is used in under-sink water filters.
• Polypropylene foam cartridges are among the newest generation of filter cartridges.
• FCPS series cartridges very effectively remove sand, silt, rust and other deposits found in tap water. They can effectively protect domestic heating systems and household appliances.
• They are characterized by very high contaminant absorption, as the nonwoven fabric has the consistency of foam containing open-cell microbubbles inside, making the contact area between water and the filtering media equivalent to a football field for standard 10-inch cartridges.

Stage 2: FCCST2 – softening and iron reduction

• Specialized water treatment cartridge – softening and iron-removal.
• It is filled with a special fine-grained media that can be used for treating drinking and utility water.
• As water flows through the active media, total hardness, iron and hydrogen sulfide are reduced.
• Used for treating drinking water.
• Water softening with an ion-exchange granulate cartridge is the cheapest and simplest solution for protecting a kettle, coffee machine and similar appliances against white scale buildup.

Stage 3: FCCBKDF – carbon cartridge with KDF

• A carbon cartridge filled with activated carbon from coconut shells and KDF media.
• Activated carbon from coconut shells removes chlorine and chlorinated solvents from the water.
• Removes organic contaminants and some pesticides.
• Removes aromatic hydrocarbons and polyaromatic compounds, improving the taste and smell of the water.
• Removes phenol and benzene.
• Removes iron compounds and hydrogen sulfide.
• Removes heavy metals: arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury.
• KDF media inhibits the growth of bacterial flora on the filter media, reduces the concentration of heavy metals contained in the water, including arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury, as well as iron, and also removes hydrogen sulfide and pesticides.
• The cartridge has a final filter that prevents the media from escaping outside the cartridge.

Separate tap for filtered water

The set includes a spout with a ceramic head, designed for convenient dispensing of filtered water.

• Brass tap, chrome-plated spout with a ceramic valve.
• Solid water filter tap, supplied with components allowing it to be mounted to a countertop or a flat sink surface.
