Mechanical cartridge for BIG BLUE 20" housings

Aquafilter FCCEL5M20B is a 20" reusable cartridge designed for use with BIG BLUE 20" housings. It is a solution intended for removing mechanical impurities from water, which is why it performs very well wherever preliminary protection of the installation, fittings, and subsequent elements of the treatment system is required.

The pleated cartridge captures typical solid particles present in water, such as sand, rust, silt, and suspended matter. Thanks to this, it can serve as the first stage of filtration for both drinking water and general utility water.

How the pleated cartridge design works

A filtration rating of 5 microns helps reduce the presence of fine mechanical impurities that may decrease water use comfort and accelerate wear of subsequent filtration stages.

Application

The FCCEL5M20B model is designed for cold water filtration. In practice, it is most often used as a pre-filter cartridge in BIG BLUE 20" housings, where it is responsible for retaining mechanical sediments before further water treatment.

It is a good choice for systems in which installation protection and improvement of utility water quality are important already at the first stage of filtration.

Operation and reuse

The cartridge belongs to the reusable series. After becoming dirty, it can be washed by rinsing it under running water and then used again. In total, the cartridge can be used up to 3 times after prior rinsing.

The cartridge service life until the first rinsing is approximately 3 to 6 months. The actual service time depends on the quality of the incoming water and the amount of retained mechanical impurities.
