The model is equipped with an air-release valve that allows air trapped in the filter to be released after cartridge replacement. In addition, a pressure gauge is installed to monitor the condition of the cartridges.
Thanks to the use of the same slot for the air release and the pressure gauge, it is possible to expand the housing with a second pressure gauge and measure the pressure at the inlet and outlet of the water from the housing. The second pressure gauge is not included in the set and must be purchased separately.
An additional brass insert mounted in the slot allows the air-release valve and pressure gauge to be screwed in and out freely without the risk of damaging the slot thread.
Operation and reuse of the cartridge
The FCCEL5M20B is a reusable 20" cartridge designed for cold water filtration in BIG BLUE housings. It can be used up to 3 times, provided it is washed beforehand, meaning rinsed under running water.
The cartridge service life is 3-6 months until the first rinse. The actual operating time depends on the quality of the incoming water and the amount of contaminants retained.
The set is intended for filtration of cold water. The FCCEL series operates in the temperature range of 2-45 °C. When reusing the cartridge, it should be thoroughly rinsed under running water beforehand. The maximum number of uses is up to 3 times.

Korpus typu Big Blue wraz z filtrem 5 mikronów to bardzo solidny zestaw. Montaż okazał się prosty, wszystko dobrze spasowane i nie ma przecieków. Po podłączeniu woda jest dobrze wstępnie oczyszczona i nie pojawiają się zanieczyszczenia w dalszych filtrach. Jedynym minusem jest dość duży rozmiar obudowy, ale przy tej wydajności to normalne.
