Set of 3 Aquafilter inserts for 10” Big Blue housings
The set includes three complementary Aquafilter® filter inserts: FCPS20M10B, FCCST10BB, and FCCBL10BB-S. Each filter insert is responsible for a different stage of water treatment, so the set can be used as an expanded pre-filtration kit and for improving the quality of utility water.
The inserts are dedicated to 10” Big Blue® housing filters. This solution works well where higher capacity, effective installation protection, and better preparation of water for everyday use at home are important. The set can also support installations where an additional water filter, an osmosis filter, a reverse osmosis system, or reverse osmosis is used as a further treatment stage.

How this filtration set works

FCPS20M10B mechanical insert
Pre-filtration and installation protection
FCPS20M10B is a 20-micron mechanical insert designed for Big Blue type housings. It stands out for its very good contaminant retention. Its structure resembles foam, with a large number of open-cell microbubbles on the surface.
The insert effectively removes sand, silt, rust, and other mechanical impurities from tap water. As a result, it helps protect household water installations and appliances from the buildup of solid particles and excessive wear of working components.
The insert is made of polypropylene nonwoven fabric resistant to chemicals and the growth of microorganisms. It is intended for treating cold drinking water or utility water.
The FCPS20M10B insert should not be used for microbiologically contaminated water or water of unknown origin.

FCCST10BB is a water-softening insert filled with a fine-grained ion-exchange bed. The filtration process involves exchanging magnesium and calcium ions present in the water for sodium ions as water flows through the bed.
The result is water that is less prone to forming deposits. Softened water helps reduce unsightly residue in coffee and tea, and also protects household appliances against limescale buildup.
The insert is intended for treating cold drinking water or utility water.
The FCCST10BB insert should not be used for microbiologically contaminated water or water of unknown origin.

Carbon block made from coconut shells
FCCBL10BB-S is a professional carbon insert made of special sintered activated carbon from coconut shells with high density. This solution provides high adsorption capacity for chlorine and other organic contaminants present in the water.
Activated carbon effectively eliminates organic contaminants. When used in tap water installations, it drastically reduces chlorine levels. In treatment of water from a private well, it improves oxidizability and clarifies the water. In practice, this means better taste and smell as well as clearly improved usability.
The insert in the form of a sintered carbon block is less prone to dusting than classic carbon granules, which is why the insert is also recommended for main water installations. Coconut shell carbon is distinguished by a very large active surface area, which translates into high effectiveness in reducing chlorine and organic contaminants and improving the water's oxidizability.
