FCPS20M10B is a 20-micron mechanical insert designed for Big Blue® housings. It stands out for very good contaminant absorption. Its structure resembles foam, and the surface contains a large number of open-cell microbubbles, which promotes effective retention of solid particles.
The insert effectively removes sand, silt, rust, and other mechanical contaminants from tap water. As a result, it helps protect household water systems and home appliances from the negative effects of deposits.
The insert is made of polypropylene nonwoven fabric resistant to chemicals and the growth of microorganisms. It is intended for treating cold drinking water or utility water.

FCCBKDF210BB insert – three-stage 3-in-1 action
FCCBKDF210BB is a three-stage specialty insert by Aquafilter®, designed for 10-inch Big Blue® filter housings. The insert design is based on three filtration layers, each responsible for a different stage of water treatment.
Structure and operation of the three layers
- First layer – KDF® media: removes hydrogen sulfide, pesticides, heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury, cadmium) from the water and reduces the concentration of iron ions. The media also has bacteriostatic properties that prevent bacteria from developing on the filter bed.
- Second layer – water softening media: converts calcium and magnesium ions, the so-called hardness minerals, into sodium ions.
- Third layer – coconut shell carbon: removes chlorine, chlorinated solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons from the water, improves the taste and odor of water, and also reduces polyaromatic compounds, phenol, benzene, and organic substances.
The set is intended for treating cold drinking water or utility water. The inserts should not be used for microbiologically contaminated water or water of unknown origin.
