High water hardness, associated with the presence of calcium and magnesium compounds, is a common problem. It is responsible for limescale buildup, increased consumption of laundry and cleaning agents, heat energy losses, and faster wear of heating equipment and household appliances.

In household or hotel conditions, soft water can reduce the consumption of laundry detergents and cleaning products by up to 50%. Additionally, it is more comfortable in daily contact with skin and hair: it does not dry out the skin and helps reduce dandruff and allergy problems.

How does the WodaRO MONO 32 softener work?

The softening process involves removing from water the components responsible for its hardness. In practice, this means exchanging calcium and magnesium ions for sodium ions as water flows through the ion exchange resin.

When the ion exchange capacity of the media becomes exhausted, the unit performs regeneration using a brine solution. This restores the media’s ability to continue working, allowing the softener to maintain consistent effectiveness in everyday operation.

Operation and everyday use

The softener operates automatically and uses volumetric-time regeneration control. This means its operation is adjusted to water consumption and operating settings, supporting efficient and predictable functioning of the entire system.

For proper operation, salt must be replenished in the brine tank. Regeneration takes place using brine, and the average salt consumption per cycle is 3.5 kg. Thanks to the 70-liter salt tank capacity, the unit is prepared for regular operation without requiring very frequent servicing.
