How does the 2-in-1 softener with coconut carbon work?

1. BNT7650 control valve

The softener is equipped with a BNT7650 series controller with a menu in Polish, making system configuration and operation easy and intuitive. The valve is also equipped with a residual hardness mixing valve, which allows precise setting of the outlet water hardness.

2. Coconut shell carbon media

At the beginning of the filtration process, water is directed to the carbon media. At this stage, chlorine and organic substances are reduced. The activated carbon made from coconut shells improves the taste and smell characteristics of water, and its high adsorption capacity helps reduce organic contaminants to trace amounts.

3. PUROLITE C100-E ion exchange resin

After flowing through the carbon media, the water passes to the softening media. At this stage, calcium and magnesium ions are exchanged for sodium ions. Water prepared in this way is dechlorinated, safe, and soft, and is then discharged into the water installation. The ions responsible for water hardness, namely calcium and magnesium, are removed to the drain during the device regeneration process.

This solution fits well into a modern approach to domestic water treatment. Free in the set: 2-stage pre-filter

The set includes a 2-stage pre-filter with a reusable mesh cartridge and an antibacterial cartridge. The set is installed before the softener to improve the quality of the incoming water and at the same time better protect the media inside the device.

3-piece housing

The housing has a 3-piece construction. This practical solution makes cartridge replacement easier, because to unscrew the housing it is enough to unscrew only the ring. There is no need to rotate the entire sump, as is the case with 2-piece versions.

Stage I filtration: Aquafilter FCPNN50M

The reusable mesh cartridge is used to remove mechanical impurities such as sand, rust, and suspended solids. Its advantage over many other solutions is the possibility of cleaning it and reusing it for water filtration.

Stage II filtration: Aquafilter FCPS20-AB

This is a 10-inch cartridge made of polypropylene foam by AQUAFILTER, manufactured using Melt-blown technology. It retains mechanical impurities such as sand, rust, and silt with an accuracy of 20 microns. The BACinix™ nanosilver technology used consists in incorporating nanosilver particles into the cartridge structure, creating an environment that destroys microorganisms and prevents their growth in a bacteriostatic way, which additionally extends cartridge life.
