How this cartridge set works

1. Preliminary mechanical filtration

The FCPS 1 polypropylene cartridge is responsible for capturing fine mechanical and sediment contaminants. With a filtration precision of 1 micron, it effectively reduces the presence of fractions such as mud, sludge, and other solid particles that may occur both in well water and in tap water during distribution.

This is an important protective stage for the downstream cartridges as well as for the water installation and fittings themselves. This type of cartridge is used, among others, in under-sink and inline filters, where it serves to protect more expensive filtration media such as carbon, softening, or iron-removal cartridges.

2. Mechanical filtration with antibacterial action

The Aquafilter FCPS5-AB antibacterial cartridge can be used interchangeably with the standard FCPS5 cartridge while fully retaining its functionality. In addition to classic mechanical filtration, it also has antibacterial and bacteriostatic action against microorganisms present in the water.

This model uses BACinix technology, which employs silver nanoparticles, a natural element with bactericidal properties. As a result, this filtration stage helps limit microorganism growth and increases the hygiene level of the entire system.

3. Improving water taste and smell

The FCBL 10 carbon cartridge is made of special high-density carbon. Its task is to remove organic contaminants and chlorine from the water. As a result, the water gains a more pleasant taste and smell, which is especially important in everyday kitchen use and when preparing drinks.

The carbon block additionally retains some mechanical sediment, providing an effective complement to the action of sediment cartridges.

Characteristics of individual cartridges

FCPS 1 wodaRO polypropylene prefilter

The cartridge is made of high-quality foam, i.e. polypropylene nonwoven fabric, formed in a way that ensures water filtration through the entire structure of the cartridge. This design translates into effective retention of mechanical contaminants already at the initial stage of water treatment.

This solution is especially useful where it is necessary to protect subsequent filtration stages from excessive sediment load.

FCPS5-AB Aquafilter antibacterial cartridge

This cartridge combines the classic sediment filtration function with additional antibacterial and bacteriostatic properties. It can work in place of the standard FCPS5 and is intended for users who want to increase the protection of the filtration system without changing the standard 10" housing.

FCBL 10 wodaRO carbon cartridge

The carbon block made of special high-density carbon supports improved utility water quality by removing chlorine and organic contaminants. This stage is responsible for a more neutral taste and smell of the water, as well as for additional capture of some mechanical sediment.

Application

The set is designed for 10-inch filters. It can be used in under-sink and inline filters, as well as in solutions where 10" cartridges operate as an element of a water filtration system preparing water for further stages, such as reverse osmosis.
