Description

The triple inline water filter fi 3/4" GW is a complete, 3-stage water filtration system for cold and warm utility water. The integrated 10" housing with three filter cartridges improves the taste and smell of water, helps reduce mechanical contaminants, and lowers chlorine and selected organic compounds. This is a practical water filter for home use that supports everyday water treatment and can serve as an effective pre-stage before more advanced solutions such as a membrane filter, reverse osmosis filter, or reverse osmosis system.

The set includes cartridges, a housing wrench, and mounting components, so you receive a ready-to-install water filtration system with universal 3/4" GW connections.

Triple inline filter for effective improvement of water quality

This set has been designed as a convenient and complete solution for filtering cold water and warm utility water. The three-stage purification layout works in one compact housing, making installation simple and later operation convenient.

The integrated design combines three 10" housings and uses standard filter cartridges, which makes future servicing and regular operation easier. The filter helps reduce the presence of sand, silt, sediment, chlorine, unpleasant tastes and odors, and also supports greater everyday water comfort.

Set contents

  • Integrated triple 10" housing assembly Fi 3/4″ GW
  • 3 pcs. 10" filter cartridges:
    • Foam (sediment) cartridge 5 µm
    • Granular activated carbon cartridge
    • Carbon block cartridge
  • Housing wrench – makes cartridge removal and replacement easier
  • Mounting plate + 12 pcs. screws for heads – stable filter mounting

Main advantages

  • Complete, integrated module – you only connect the 3/4″ inlet and outlet thread
  • Three filtration stages in one block – 5 µm foam, granular activated carbon, carbon block
  • Immediate water improvement – removal of sand, rust, chlorine, pesticides, heavy metals, unpleasant tastes and odors
  • Brass threads + double sealing – reduced risk of micro-leaks and good corrosion resistance
  • Minimal pressure drop – full-bore 3/4″ GW threads
  • Fast servicing – cartridge replacement in under 5 minutes
  • Compact design – easy wall mounting
  • Operating range 1–45 °C – suitable for cold and warm utility water

Three filtration stages – how this system works

1. FCPS5 foam cartridge (sediment)

  • Action: deep filtration of mechanical contaminants – traps sand, silt, rust deposits and larger solid particles.
  • Where: usually installed as the first stage, before carbon cartridges, to protect the later filtration stages.
  • Replacement: every 3–6 months*

2. GAC10 WodaRO granular activated carbon cartridge

  • Action: water clarification – reduction of chlorine, aromas and odors, organic deposits.
  • Where: second stage – pre-cleans the water, leaving it clear and neutral in taste.
  • Replacement: every 3–6 months*

3. FCBL10 WodaRO carbon block cartridge

  • Action: adsorption of chlorine, pesticides and most organic compounds, heavy metals; significant improvement in water taste and odor.
  • Where: third stage – the block cartridge effectively removes chemical substances before the water continues further through the system.
  • Replacement: every 3–6 months*

* Recommended replacement intervals may be shorter in the case of high water contamination, temperature, or pressure.

This arrangement of filter cartridges makes the water filtration system work in layers: first it protects the following stages from mechanical particles, then it improves organoleptic properties, and finally it more precisely reduces selected contaminants responsible for unpleasant taste and odor.

Operation and everyday use

The triple inline filter has been prepared with convenient servicing and easy control of cartridge condition in mind. The integrated design simplifies wall mounting, and the 10" standard makes future replacement of filtration elements easier.

The system does not require electrical power and operates passively, using the pressure of the water installation. As a result, it can be used as a standalone utility water filter or as a pre-stage before more advanced solutions such as reverse osmosis.

To maintain high filtration quality, regularly check the condition of the cartridges and replace them according to the recommendations.

Operating and installation instructions

1. Preparation before installation

1.1. Checking the set contents

  • 3 × filtering housing with pre-connected heads (in one frame)
  • 1 × mounting plate
  • 1 × installation wrench
  • 6 × O-rings (gaskets) in the heads, pre-installed
  • 3 × filter cartridges
  • 12 screws for fastening the plate to the heads

1.2. Tools and additional materials (not included)

  • drill with ø6 mm bit
  • ø6 mm wall plugs
  • Phillips screwdriver (PH2)
  • technical petroleum jelly
  • 3/4" GZ water connection fittings for installation
  • PTFE tape or PTFE thread for securing the fitting threads
  • optionally an adjustable or flat wrench for metal fittings

1.3. Preparing the cartridges

  1. Remove each cartridge from the foil packaging.
  2. Place the cartridges in a clean container with water and soak for 30 min.
  3. After this time, remove them gently and allow excess water to drain off.

Soaking prevents air bubbles and improves filtration efficiency.

2. Selecting and preparing the installation location

  1. Select the location

Behind the main water shut-off valve.

In a space with easy access for servicing and cartridge replacement.

  2. Leave at least 10 cm of free space below and above the filter frame.
  3. Close the water shut-off valve and release the pressure by opening the nearest tap downstream from the filter.

3. Mounting the installation plate and housing frame

  1. Place the mounting plate under the frame of the three heads, leveling it.
  2. Mark the mounting holes corresponding to the holes in the plate.
  3. Drill the holes and insert the wall plugs.
  4. Screw the plate to the wall using the plugs.
  5. Hang the housing frame on the plate by engaging the upper profile of the frame.

4. Installing the water connections

The housing set has 3/4" GW internal threads on the inlet and outlet. External 3/4" GZ fittings must be selected.

  1. Select 3/4" GZ connectors matching the 3/4" GW threads in the heads.
  2. Wrap the GZ threads with PTFE tape (several turns).
  3. Screw the GZ connectors into the GW threads of the heads:

The side marked with the IN arrow – water supply from the installation.

The side marked OUT – water outlet after filtration.

  4. Tighten the connectors with an adjustable wrench until resistance is felt.
  5. Connect the water installation pipes to the installed connectors, sealing the connections.

5. Installing the filter cartridges

Reminder: the cartridges should already have been soaked for 30 min.

  1. Unscrew each housing.
  2. Check that the O-ring is in place.
  3. Apply a layer of petroleum jelly to the O-ring.
  4. Insert the cartridges into the housing in the following order:

    Mechanical (foam)

    Granular activated carbon cartridge

    Activated carbon block

  5. Make sure each cartridge is seated vertically.
  6. Screw the housing on by hand or with the wrench until slight resistance is felt.

6. Start-up and leak test

  1. Slowly open the main water supply valve (1/4 turn).
  2. Observe the set for 2–3 min. If you notice leaks, tighten the appropriate housing or fitting slightly.
  3. After confirming tightness, open the valve fully.

7. Flushing and putting into use

  1. Open the nearest tap downstream from the filter and flush the cartridges for 5–10 min.
  2. Check the stability of the mounting and the seals.
  3. Write down the installation date on the housing label – this will help plan cartridge replacement.

FAQ

How often should the filter cartridges be replaced?

The recommended cartridge replacement interval is every 3–6 months. The frequency may be higher if the water is heavily contaminated, the temperature is elevated, or other conditions accelerate filter media wear.

Does the filter require electrical power?

No. The system operates passively and uses the pressure present in the water installation, so it does not need to be connected to electricity.

Can I install the filter myself?

Yes, installation can be carried out independently if the water installation is properly prepared. The set includes a housing wrench, mounting plate and screws, while the connection requires suitable 3/4" GZ fittings and basic installation tools.

Does the filter reduce water pressure?

Yes, but only slightly. The working pressure drop is about 0.1–0.4 bar, which usually allows comfortable use while maintaining effective filtration.

Is the set suitable for water with temperatures up to 45 °C?

Yes. The operating temperature range is 1–45 °C, so the filter is intended for cold and warm utility water.

Can other filter cartridges be used in the future?

Yes. The housings are adapted to the popular 10" cartridge standard, so most standard filter cartridges in this size can be used.

What is the correct cartridge installation order?

The installation order is: foam mechanical cartridge, then granular activated carbon cartridge, and finally the carbon block. This arrangement ensures proper operation of the three-stage filtration system.

Do the cartridges need to be prepared before first use?

Yes. Each cartridge should be removed from the foil packaging and immersed in clean water for 30 minutes. After soaking, it is worth allowing excess water to drain off. This helps reduce air bubbles and improves filtration efficiency.

What should be done after installation is complete?

After connecting the set, slowly open the water supply, check for leaks for 2–3 minutes, and then flush the cartridges for 5–10 minutes by opening the nearest tap downstream from the filter.

Can the Triple Inline Water Filter fi 3/4" GW HOUSING BODY + Cartridges work with a more advanced treatment system?

Yes, such an inline filter can work as an effective pre-stage for more advanced water treatment solutions, including installations such as a membrane filter or reverse osmosis system, helping protect later filtration stages from mechanical contaminants and chlorine.
