RO4 Aqua Vita DEMI is an installation-ready reverse osmosis filter designed for demanding users who expect stable water quality for their aquarium. The entire set is already prepared and pre-assembled for installation, making startup of the water filtration system convenient and straightforward.

The set also includes a Polish installation manual, which makes it easier to connect the device correctly and start operation without unnecessary complications.

Basic applications of an RO filter for aquarium purposes

• Lowering water conductivity – a parameter important mainly for aquarists with marine tanks (salt water), to obtain water with zero conductivity of 0 ppm.
• Lowering pH – the average reduction is 1-2 points*.
• Water softening – the osmotic membrane effectively removes calcium and magnesium compounds from the water, thus reducing total water hardness to zero or close to zero dH*.

Filtration stages

1. WPL2

A linear cartridge made of polypropylene foam. It is used to filter sand, silt, rust particles, and other solid impurities from water, effectively protecting the subsequent components of the filtration system.

Replacement: every 6 months at most.

2. WWL2

The linear carbon cartridge removes contaminants such as chlorine, chlorine compounds, and organic impurities from the water.

Replacement: every 6 months at most.

3. VONTRON 75

The osmotic membrane is the key component of the system. It is a set of semi-permeable thin-film membranes. Combined with polypropylene nonwoven filters and activated carbon, it makes it possible to obtain very pure water.

The osmotic membrane removes up to 99% of all compounds dissolved in water, as well as bacteria and viruses.

Estimated membrane lifespan: about 3-5 years.

4. MB400 Purolite resin

A ready-to-use, homogeneous mixture of anion and cation resin from Purolite intended for water demineralization and removal of residual impurities.

MB400 is used in domestic and industrial devices for final polishing of osmotic water. This is the stage responsible for obtaining demineralized water, desired among others by aquarists preparing water for marine tanks.

Connection options

The system can be adapted to different connection methods. Available connection options:

1. 3/8” connection (approx. 15 mm)
2. 1/2" connection (approx. 20 mm)
3. 3/4" connection (washing machine/dishwasher), (approx. 25 mm)
4. 1/2" connection (for shower), (approx. 20 mm)
5. If no connection is selected, we will add the standard 1/2"

Operation and use

To ensure the reverse osmosis system operates efficiently and maintains high purification effectiveness, basic operating rules should be followed. Regular replacement of pre-filters reduces the risk of membrane overload and helps maintain proper water quality.
