electrical conductivity is the ability of water to conduct electricity through dissolved ions, measured at a fixed temperature or temperature compensated.

What does electrical conductivity mean in practice?

A conductivity meter measures the ability of a solution to conduct electricity between electrodes and gives the result usually in µS/cm or mS/cm.

When does it matter?

Temperature and cell constant affect the indication, and a low result does not exclude organic compounds or bacteria.

Which solutions are related to it?

The instrument is calibrated with an appropriate standard, temperature compensation is applied and the result is recorded along with the measurement conditions.
