What does water chlorination mean in practice?
Chlorine reacts simultaneously with microorganisms, iron, ammonium and organic matter, therefore the dose administered is not equal to free chlorine.
When does it matter?
Too small a dose will not provide disinfection, and an excess will worsen the taste and may increase the amount of chlorination by-products.
Which solutions are related to it?
Chlorine requirement, required contact time and residual level are determined and microbiological results are checked before consumption.
