How does a water softener work?

The softener operates automatically and has been designed to provide effective water treatment with minimal user involvement.

• in water flowing through the special media inside the device, calcium and magnesium ions responsible for water hardness are exchanged for harmless sodium ions,
• after several or a dozen days, when the ion exchange capacity of the media is exhausted, the media is automatically regenerated with a solution of water and salt,
• media regeneration takes about 2 hours, occurs at a time convenient for you, for example at night, and during this time you can still use water in the house, but it will be unsoftened water.

EcoWater eVOLUTION 500 POWER has been designed so that everyday use is simple and does not require complicated operation.

• the ion exchange media is effective for approx. 10–15 years, depending on water quality,
• the softener is installed on the main cold water supply line in the house,
• the installation location for the softener must be equipped with an electrical outlet and a drain connection to the sewer system,
• the only maintenance task required for the softener is periodic refilling of the tank with tablet salt, usually every several weeks.
