What does high TDS mean in practice?
The TDS meter does not recognize specific salts or contaminants and is not intended to assess microbiological safety.
When does it matter?
A high reading may indicate severe mineralization, salinity, or a change in water composition requiring ion analysis.
Which solutions are related to it?
Conductivity and ionic composition must be confirmed; reverse osmosis, nanofiltration or demineralization are used to reduce TDS.
