GPD is US gallons per day, a unit of the rated capacity of an RO membrane measured under precisely defined test conditions.

What does GPD mean in practice?

The membrane efficiency in GPD is the laboratory value at a given pressure, temperature and salinity, usually higher than home production.

When does it matter?

Two membranes with the same GPD may have different retention, surface area and required test pressure.

Which solutions are related to it?

For selection, the demand for liters per day is calculated and the efficiency is corrected by the real temperature and pressure.
