After coagulation, gentle stirring allows the destabilized particles to collide and build flocs capable of falling.
When does it matter?
Too strong shear tears the flocs, while too short a time does not allow them to reach the required size.
Which solutions are related to it?
The mixing gradient, time and polymer dose are controlled, and the resulting precipitate is removed in a settling tank, filter or by vacuuming.
