What does ultrafiltration mean in practice?
UF works at relatively low pressure and retains suspensions, some colloids and microorganisms, leaving most of the dissolved salts.
When does it matter?
The membrane improves clarity but does not reduce hardness or TDS and requires protection against clogging and periodic rinsing.

The nominal pore size, flow and rinsing mode are selected and microbiological safety is confirmed for the entire system.
