What does low pH mean in practice?
Low pH water can be corrosive and leach metals from pipes, but the rating must be combined with alkalinity and saturation index.
When does it matter?
The pH itself does not describe the buffer capacity, therefore two waters with the same pH may behave differently in the installation.
Which solutions are related to it?
Neutralizing beds, alkali dosing or stream mixing are used, and the effect is controlled by pH and alkalinity.
