What the set includes

The set includes three original Aquafilter cartridges with PZH approval, designed to work in a 3-stage filter in the 10-inch standard:

• FCPS20 10" polypropylene filter
• FCCFE 10" iron removal filter
• FCCBL-S carbon filter

This configuration combines protection of the installation and subsequent filter media with improved water performance. The set works well with both municipal water and applications where fine suspended solids and iron compounds are present in the water and affect everyday use.

How this cartridge set works

The set works in stages. The first cartridge traps mechanical contaminants, the second reduces dissolved iron compounds, and the third improves water taste and odor while reducing chlorine and selected organic contaminants. As a result, the water becomes clearer and more pleasant in everyday use.

This type of arrangement can be used as a standalone filtration system or as part of a more advanced treatment installation. It works well with solutions such as a reverse osmosis filter, osmotic filter, reverse osmosis, or a reverse osmosis system, where preliminary water purification helps protect subsequent filtration stages.

Cartridge 1: FCPS20 – 20 micron mechanical filtration

FCPS20 is a cartridge made of polypropylene nonwoven fabric with a filtration rating of 20 microns. Its task is to remove mechanical contaminants, also referred to as sediment.

The cartridge effectively traps fine fractions of solid contaminants such as silt, sludge, and similar deposits larger than 20 microns. They may be present both in water from a private well and in municipal water, where they often enter during distribution.

This is an original Aquafilter product, typically used among other things in under-sink and inline filters. In practice, it serves a protective role for more expensive carbon, softening, and iron-removal cartridges, as well as for the water installation and fixtures themselves.

The cartridge is made of high-quality foam, i.e. polypropylene nonwoven fabric, formed in a way that enables water filtration through the entire structure of the cartridge. Such construction promotes effective operation throughout the full volume of the filter medium.

Cartridge 2: FCCFE – iron removal cartridge with active media

FCCFE is a cartridge designed for iron removal from water. It effectively traps dissolved iron compounds, helping protect household appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers, as well as heating devices.

The iron-removal cartridge contains a special fine-grained granulate with a high capacity for capturing iron ions. It has been designed to improve water taste and odor as effectively as possible by removing the characteristic metallic aftertaste.

This model has its own final filter that prevents granules from escaping the cartridge. The composition of the media inside the housing additionally corrects the water reaction, i.e. pH, which improves the iron-removal process. The cartridge is installed in standard 10-inch housings. It can be used in inline, under-sink, and countertop filters.

Cartridge 3: FCCBL-S – granular carbon cartridge with coconut shell carbon

FCCBL-S is a granular carbon cartridge that uses carbon from coconut shells. This type of media effectively removes chlorine and its derivatives from the water while also improving its taste and odor.

Granular carbon cartridges do not cause a pressure drop in the system, so they are also well suited for installation at the point where water enters the home. This is an important advantage wherever maintaining comfortable flow while improving water quality matters.
