How the WodaRO BAMBO SOFT 25 softener works

Water softening consists of removing the components that cause water hardness. This process takes place as water flows through the ion-exchange resin, where the calcium and magnesium ions responsible for hardness are exchanged for sodium ions.

When the ion-exchange capacity of the resin is exhausted, the resin is regenerated using a brine solution. This allows the device to continue working effectively and maintain high softening efficiency.

WodaRO BAMBO SOFT 25 is a well-thought-out design in which every element is responsible for stable, convenient, and safe operation of the entire system.

1. BNT7650 control valve, featuring a menu in Polish and a residual hardness valve (mixing).
2. Unique by-pass valve, mounted at the rear of the device.
3. High-quality, durable compact housing of the softener.
4. Multilayer resin tank, reinforced with fiberglass and corrosion-resistant.
5. Ion-exchange resin ensuring effective water softening.
6. Tablet salt used in the regeneration process.
7. Self-cleaning distributor baskets – lower and upper.
8. Brine valve controlling the water flow to and from the brine tank, equipped with anti-overflow protection.
9. Brine tank made of high-density polyethylene, impact-resistant and deformation-resistant.

Pre-filter included in the set

The set includes an FHPR-3V_R pre-filter with a drain valve, equipped with a reusable mesh cartridge. The package also includes a housing wrench, mounting plate, and Teflon tape. The set is installed before the softener to improve water quality and at the same time protect the resin inside the device.

• 3-piece housing – the innovative design makes servicing easier, because to unscrew the housing it is enough to unscrew only the ring. There is no need to rotate the entire bowl, as in 2-piece versions.
• Drain valve – enables flushing sediment from the filter without removing the cartridge.
• FCPNN50M mesh cartridge – an efficient sediment cartridge for cold water treatment. The nylon mesh captures sand-sized impurities and similar particles, preventing them from entering the further part of the water installation. The cartridge practically does not cause pressure drops, because the resistance to water flow is minimal.

This configured set works well with a domestic water treatment system. Although the softener serves a different function than reverse osmosis, an RO filter, or a reverse osmosis system installed at a kitchen point of use, it is a very important stage in installation protection and water preparation for further filtration devices.

Additional important information

• 3-piece housing. The innovative 3-piece housing design makes cartridge replacement easier, because to unscrew the housing it is enough to unscrew only the ring. There is no need to turn the entire bowl, as in the case of the 2-piece version.
