How the device works:

• Water softening involves removing components that cause water hardness. This process involves exchanging calcium and magnesium ions (responsible for water hardness) for sodium ions and occurs during the flow of water through the ion exchange resin.
• When the ion exchange capacity of the resin is exhausted, it undergoes a regeneration process using a brine solution.
