ECOMIX A media – multifunctional water treatment in one device

The station operates using ECOMIX A media, an ion-exchange and absorption mixture of various components. This multifunctional filter medium has been developed to simultaneously reduce the most common problems found in well water.

The media removes from water:

• iron,

• hardness,
• natural organic substances.

The multifunctional Ecomix A media is a composition of five high-quality components with ion-exchange and adsorption functionality. It is an excellent medium for removing hardness, iron, manganese, ammonium ion, and organic contaminants in drinking water treatment in homes and in technological processes. It works effectively with water from any source, simultaneously removes all forms of iron contamination, and maintains high efficiency over a wide pH range, also in the presence of organic contaminants and hydrogen sulfide.

How the device works

Water softening involves removing from water the components that cause hardness. This process is based on replacing calcium and magnesium ions, which are responsible for water hardness, with sodium ions. This phenomenon occurs as water flows through the ion-exchange resin.

When the ion-exchange capacity of the media is exhausted, it is subjected to a regeneration process using a brine solution. Thanks to this, the device can maintain consistent performance and operate in a repeatable, convenient, and economical way.

Pre-filter included in the set

The 3-piece housing is a practical solution that makes cartridge replacement easier. To unscrew the housing, simply unscrew the ring itself. There is no need to rotate the entire sump, as is the case with 2-piece designs.

The drain valve allows sediment to be flushed out of the filter without removing the cartridge, which simplifies ongoing service and shortens maintenance time.

The FCPNN50M mesh cartridge does not require replacement and is an efficient sediment cartridge for cold water treatment. The nylon mesh captures sand-sized impurities and similar sediment, preventing them from entering the rest of the water system. The cartridge causes virtually no pressure drops, as the resistance to water flow is minimal.
