How this filter set works in a reverse osmosis system

The set combines several stages of water purification and conditioning. Mechanical filters trap solid contaminants, the carbon cartridge improves taste and odor and reduces selected undesirable substances, while the osmotic membrane is responsible for very precise separation of dissolved contaminants. In the final stage, the water can additionally undergo mineralization and ionization.

Such a configured water filter supports everyday use in the kitchen, beverage preparation, and cooking, while helping to maintain the high operating quality of the entire RO7 system.

Full description of cartridges and filtration stages

1. WPM-5 – 5 micron mechanical filtration

The mechanical foam cartridge made of polypropylene nonwoven fabric removes larger, water-insoluble mechanical impurities such as rust, suspended solids, sand, or silt down to a size of 5 microns.

2. WWB10 – block carbon cartridge

The block carbon cartridge improves the taste and smell of the water, removes mechanical impurities larger than 10 microns, reduces chlorine and its derivatives, helps eliminate lead and toxic heavy metals, and removes organic compounds, including bacteria.

3. WPM-1 – 1 micron mechanical filtration

The second mechanical foam cartridge, also made of polypropylene nonwoven fabric, is responsible for more precise retention of larger water-insoluble mechanical impurities such as rust, suspended solids, sand, or silt down to a size of 1 micron.

4. VONTRON 75 – osmotic membrane

The VONTRON 75 GPD membrane is a set of semi-permeable thin-film membranes. In combination with polypropylene nonwoven and activated carbon filters, it allows you to obtain very clean water. The osmotic membrane removes up to 99% of compounds dissolved in water, as well as bacteria and viruses. The estimated service life of the membrane is about 3–5 years.

5. WWL2 – in-line carbon cartridge

The WWL2 in-line carbon cartridge is filled with activated carbon media. The applied medium significantly improves the taste and smell of the water, reducing chlorine and other organic compounds.

6. WML2 – in-line mineralizer

Osmotic filtration removes from the water from 96 to 99% of impurities and minerals. The WML2 dolomite mineralizer enriches the water with minerals lost during osmotic filtration. Water flowing through the cartridge is enriched with elements essential for the human body, such as: calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium.

7. ICB2-100 – bioceramic ionizer

The ICB2-100 in-line cartridge contains bioceramic clays. The cartridge ionizes the water, enriching it with "Negative Ions", thanks to which the water gains energizing properties that support health and add life energy.

The cartridge contains a special medium that enriches the water with "Negative Ions". These are negatively charged atoms, molecules, or molecular complexes with a greater than normal number of electrons. The strength of "Negative Ions" comes from the properties of minerals and their natural radiation.

Water is the most common chemical compound essential to life, and in natural conditions it may contain "Negative Ions", as is the case, for example, near waterfalls or high-mountain springs. In home conditions, the ICB2-100 cartridge is used to enrich the water with this component.

Water containing "Negative Ions" according to the cartridge's described action:

Ceramic clay is made from natural semi-precious stones. Their deposits are characterized by a high ion content and emit far infrared radiation (FIR).

CLASSIC double spout included in the set

The set includes a double, chrome-plated CLASSIC spout with ceramic valves. Self-service and operation
