This model was designed as a complete pre-filter for operation at the main water inlet of the installation. It is a solution for users who want to simultaneously stop mechanical impurities and reduce the problem of iron present in the water.

The system is easy to install, aesthetically pleasing, and ergonomic. The 3-piece housing body ensures maximum tightness and makes cartridge replacement easier, resulting in convenient everyday use.

How filtration works in this set

The system operates in two stages. The first stage is responsible for sediment filtration of water from solid impurities, and the second for iron removal and improving the utility characteristics of water. This combination works well both with well water and mains water when the goal is to protect the installation and devices from deposits and the effects of iron presence.

Stage I – FCPS20 cartridge

FCPS20 is a polypropylene nonwoven cartridge with a filtration accuracy of 20 microns. It is intended for removing mechanical, that is sedimentary, impurities such as sand, silt, or rust.

Advantages of the FCPS20 cartridge:

• very high filtration accuracy
• removes fine fractions of solid impurities from water, such as silt, sludge, and similar deposits larger than 20 microns, present in both private well water and mains water
• serves as protection for expensive carbon, softening, and iron removal cartridges, as well as for the water installation itself and expensive fittings
• the cartridge is made of high-quality foam, i.e. polypropylene nonwoven material, formed in a way that ensures water is filtered through the entire structure of the cartridge

Cartridge lifespan: 3–6 months depending on water quality.

Stage II – FCCFE cartridge

The second filtration stage is the FCCFE cartridge with an active bed for iron removal from water. The cartridge effectively retains iron compounds dissolved in water and is used to protect household appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers, as well as heating equipment.

The iron removal cartridge contains a special fine-grained granulate with a high capacity for capturing iron ions. It was designed to effectively improve the taste and smell of water by removing its specific metallic aftertaste. The cartridge has its own final filter that prevents granulate particles from escaping beyond the filter.

The composition of the media inside the cartridge housing corrects the water reaction (pH), which improves the iron removal process. The cartridge is installed in standard 10-inch housings and can be used in inline, under-sink, and freestanding filters. The water flow is suitable for a single point of use, for example before a kitchen tap.

BACinix antibacterial centering discs

The set includes 2 antibacterial centering discs. They were made using BACInix™ antibacterial technology with nanosilver, which acts bacteriostatically and helps prevent the growth of microorganisms inside the filtration system. This solution allows for extended operating time and increases operational safety by reducing the risk of microbiological contamination.

The centering discs make proper cartridge installation easier, help ensure its correct positioning while tightening the components, and reduce the likelihood of cartridge damage during installation. In addition, they prevent the development of bacterial flora, lower the risk of pathogenic microorganism growth, are compatible with most cartridges available on the market, and were made from high-quality materials in the European Union.

Application and benefits in everyday use

This filter works well as a household pre-filtration system wherever protecting the installation and devices from mechanical impurities and iron compounds is important. It can serve as a practical first stage of water preparation in a broader system before the water reaches further filtration solutions such as an osmotic filter, reverse osmosis filter, reverse osmosis system, or reverse osmosis.

In everyday operation, this means fewer deposits in the installation, lower risk of staining sanitary fittings and clothing, and better working conditions for subsequent elements of the water treatment system.
