TLCHF-FP Aquafilter is a capillary membrane for under-sink systems. It stops mechanical impurities (rust, sand, silt, suspensions) and particles down to 0.02 µm, including some bacteria and viruses. Filtration occurs without water rejection and without removing natural minerals. Do not use for microbiologically contaminated water or water of unknown origin.
TLCHF-FP Aquafilter capillary membrane is a filter cartridge designed for under-sink systems, used as an effective water filter in a domestic water filtration system. The membrane retains sand, rust, silt, suspended solids, and particles as small as 0.02 µm, including some bacteria and viruses. Filtration takes place without water reject, without losing natural minerals, and is a practical alternative to solutions such as a reverse osmosis filter or a classic reverse osmosis system when the priority is effective water treatment without wasting the incoming water flow.

The TLCHF-FP model by Aquafilter has been designed for use in under-sink systems. It is a solution for users who want to improve the quality of tap water by removing mechanical impurities and very fine particles, while not wanting to strip the water of its naturally occurring minerals.
In practice, the membrane helps reduce the presence of contaminants such as sand, silt, rust, and other suspended matter present in tap water. Its filtration capability down to 0.02 µm also allows it to retain some bacteria and viruses.
The capillary membrane is made of fibers, or capillaries. In the walls of each capillary there are channels whose diameter decreases from the outside toward the center of the fiber. This structure is responsible for a multi-stage, highly effective contaminant separation process.
Larger particles are retained on the outer surface of the capillary, which corresponds to surface filtration. Smaller particles move deeper into the channel structure and are retained when they encounter even finer pores, in a process known as depth filtration.
As a result, the membrane combines high purification accuracy with maintaining the full incoming water flow. Capillary filtration is an alternative to osmotic filtration and, for many household applications, is a very convenient solution wherever the absence of reject water and the preservation of minerals present in the water are important.
The capillary filtration process makes it possible to eliminate 99.8% of harmful substances and microorganisms from water without removing the minerals essential for the human body. This is an important difference compared with solutions focused on very deep demineralization of water.
The TLCHF-FP membrane filters 100% of the incoming water, which means filtration without reject water. The entire stream of supplied water passes through the purification process, without the water losses typical of many systems using solutions such as an osmotic membrane or selected reverse osmosis systems.
The capillary membrane should not be used for microbiologically contaminated water or water of unknown origin. Cartridge life depends on water quality.
The TLCHF-FP capillary membrane is compatible with the following solutions:
TLCHF-FP works well as a component of a system that improves the quality of utility water in the kitchen, especially where effective retention of fine impurities is expected while maintaining the natural mineral composition. It is a solution for people looking for a compromise between filtration accuracy and economical operation.
Unlike solutions referred to as an osmotic filter or osmotic membrane, capillary filtration does not generate reject water. For this reason, it is chosen wherever savings and simpler operation of the filtration system are important.

TLCHF-FP retains sand, silt, rust, suspended solids, and other mechanical impurities present in tap water. It also filters particles down to 0.02 µm, including some bacteria and viruses.
No. One of the key advantages of capillary filtration in this model is that it does not remove the natural minerals present in the water.
No. The membrane filters 100% of the incoming water, so it operates without reject water. This means the entire supplied stream passes through the filtration process.
Capillary filtration is an alternative to osmotic filtration. In the TLCHF-FP model, it effectively reduces contaminants and some microorganisms while preserving minerals and eliminating the problem of reject water, which often occurs in osmotic systems.
No. The capillary membrane should not be used for microbiologically contaminated water or water of unknown origin.
The cartridge is made of thin capillary fibers. In the walls of the capillaries there are channels whose diameter decreases from the outside toward the center of the fiber. As a result, larger contaminants are retained on the surface, while smaller ones are trapped inside the membrane structure.
Cartridge life depends on water quality. The more mechanical impurities and sediment there are in the feed water, the sooner the cartridge may need to be replaced.
