This causes morphological changes leading to disruption of the cell's structural integrity (lysis), and as a result eliminates bacteria or prevents their multiplication. This selective action makes the solution safe for humans.

Operating principle and filtration efficiency

Contaminated water flows through the cartridge toward its core. Sediment present in it is retained by micropores whose diameter decreases toward the inside of the cartridge. Larger particles are captured closer to the surface, while finer contaminants are retained in deeper layers of the material.

This mode of operation increases the effective filtration surface area, improves purification efficiency, and translates into longer cartridge life. In practice, this means more efficient mechanical filtration than in solutions based solely on surface filtration.

Three-layer gradient structure

The cartridge has a three-layer gradient structure. This means that the micron rating decreases toward the inside of the cartridge, allowing the contaminant retention process to be distributed across successive layers of the material. This design supports depth filtration and limits excessively rapid blocking of the filtration surface itself.

As a result, the cartridge can capture a greater amount of sediment while maintaining high performance for a longer time. This is an important benefit especially when the cartridge operates as the first protective stage in domestic installations and more advanced systems.
