OCEAN RX 30 MAXI belongs to a new series of softeners equipped with modern software, a volumetric controller, an anti-flood valve, and a by-pass. It is a compact, fully automatic device intended for everyday operation in domestic and utility water systems.

How does OCEAN RX 30 MAXI work?

Water softening consists of removing from water the components that cause hardness. This process involves replacing calcium and magnesium ions, responsible for water hardness, with sodium ions, and it takes place as water flows through the ion exchange resin.

When the ion exchange capacity of the media is exhausted, it is subjected to a regeneration process using a brine solution. Thanks to this, the device regains readiness for further operation and can continuously supply soft water to the system.

The OCEAN RX 30 MAXI model is equipped with a complete set of solutions responsible for effective, convenient, and safe operation:

1. Automatic volumetric control head RX 63B-3.
2. Electronic controller with a liquid crystal display.
3. BY-PASS with raw water mixer.
4. Compact housing made of high-quality polyethylene.
5. Corrosion-resistant fiberglass-reinforced tank with increased durability.
6. 30 liters of media with high capacity for removing magnesium and calcium ions.

8. Self-cleaning lower and upper distributor baskets.
9. Brine valve controlling the flow of water to and from the brine tank, equipped with anti-overflow protection.
10. Brine tank made of high-density polyethylene, impact-resistant and deformation-resistant.

Controller with flow measurement

The operation of RX heads is based on modern rotary ceramic disc technology. The two ceramic discs are made of high-quality ceramic resistant to abrasion and corrosion. This solution ensures very good sealing inside the controller, which translates into long-lasting and trouble-free operation.

The ceramic components are resistant to the buildup of contaminants, including iron, so they do not accumulate in the controller.

Installation and operation

The softener is installed near the water meter, in a place with the possibility of connection to the sewer or a floor drain. After making the hydraulic connections and supplying electrical power, the device requires setting the operating parameters and then pouring salt into the tank.

From that moment, the device independently controls the amount of water flowing through it and selects the regeneration day, which reduces daily operation to a minimum.

Included is an expanded starter set that makes installation, first start-up, and ongoing operation of the device easier:

10-inch inline pre-filter

To protect the head against mechanical contaminants carried in the water, installation of a 10” inline pre-filter with a polypropylene cartridge is recommended. The set includes the housing with a запас of 5 string cartridges.

The innovative 3-piece housing design makes cartridge replacement easier, because to unscrew the housing you only need to unscrew the ring itself. There is no need to rotate the entire sump, as is the case with the 2-piece version.

The transparent 10" housing allows visual assessment of the contamination level of the cartridge placed inside the sump. The 3-piece housing ensures maximum tightness of the housing and guarantees easy cartridge replacement. The head features a brass thread. The product is made of high-quality materials, and the entire unit was manufactured and assembled in the European Union.

5 x PP20 AquaVita string cartridge 20 micron

The universal sediment cartridge made of polypropylene string by AquaVita captures all kinds of mechanical contaminants, such as sand, silt, rust, and similar sediments.

PP20 polypropylene string cartridges are made of pure polypropylene fiber wound around a filter core. This design ensures increasing filter density toward its core. These cartridges are intended for the pre-filtration of suspensions and mechanical sediments that may cause damage to heating appliances and household equipment.

Although the softener is not a device such as reverse osmosis, an osmotic filter, a reverse osmosis system, or a reverse osmosis filter, it complements home water treatment very well. In practice, it can work in the installation with other filtration solutions, where a mechanical filter and a suitable filter cartridge protect the system, and the softener is responsible for hardness reduction.
