How does the softener work?

• in the water flowing through a special resin inside the device, there is an exchange of calcium and magnesium ions (responsible for water hardness) for harmless sodium ions,
• after several days, when the ion-exchange capacity of the resin is exhausted, automatic regeneration of the resin occurs with a solution of water and salt,
• regeneration lasts about 2 hours, occurs at a convenient time for you (e.g., at night), and during this time you can use water in your home (unsalted).

Hard water contains an excess of minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and iron.
