How this cartridge set works

The set has been composed to support the successive stages of a typical RO6 system. Detailed cartridge descriptions

FCPS5-AB – antibacterial 5-micron mechanical cartridge

FCPS5-AB is a specialized Aquafilter polypropylene cartridge made using antibacterial BACinix technology. It can be used interchangeably with the standard FCPS5 cartridge while retaining its full functionality.

BACinix technology enhances mechanical filtration with antibacterial and bacteriostatic action against microorganisms present in water. This solution uses silver nanoparticles, a natural element with bactericidal properties. In practice, the cartridge therefore not only performs classic retention of mechanical contaminants, but also supports the hygiene of the entire water filtration system.

FCBL10 – 10-inch carbon block

FCBL10 is a carbon block responsible for improving the taste and smell of water. The cartridge removes mechanical contaminants larger than 10 microns, reduces chlorine and its toxic derivatives, helps eliminate lead and toxic heavy metals, and also removes organic compounds, including bacteria.

This is an important element of the reverse osmosis system because it prepares the water for further filtration stages and helps maintain the good utility properties of water intended for drinking and everyday kitchen use.

FCPS1 – 1-micron mechanical foam cartridge

FCPS1 is a mechanical foam cartridge made of polypropylene nonwoven fabric. Its task is to remove larger, undissolved mechanical impurities from the water up to 1 micron in size, such as rust, suspended matter, sand, or silt.

This filtration stage helps limit the presence of solid particles in the water and supports the proper operation of subsequent system components.

AV-GAC-L – 2-inch inline carbon cartridge

AV-GAC-L is an inline carbon cartridge filled with activated carbon media. The filtration medium used significantly improves the taste and smell of water and helps reduce chlorine and other organic compounds.

This cartridge plays an important role in the final purification of water in the osmosis system, supporting a more pleasant drinking experience in everyday consumption.

AV-MIN-L – 2-inch inline mineralizer

AV-MIN-L is an inline dolomite mineralizer. Osmotic filtration removes 96 to 99% of all contaminants and minerals from water, so the mineralization stage is very important for the final composition of the water.

The AV-MIN-L mineralizer enriches the water with minerals lost during the osmotic filtration process. Water flowing through the cartridge is enriched with elements essential for the human body, such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium.
