What does flush valve mean in practice?
When opened, it bypasses some of the RO outflow restriction, increasing the concentrate side flow and reducing the instantaneous concentration.
When does it matter?
Rinsing removes loose sediment, but does not dissolve persistent scale and, if left open, prevents proper permeate production.

The cycle and time recommended for the system are applied and flows and pressures are checked to return to operating values.
