What does filter housing mean in practice?
The housing conducts water through the cartridge and must tightly transmit the operating pressure over the entire permitted temperature range.

Incorrect insert, dirty seal groove or over-tightening of the cover may cause filtration bypass or leakage.

Compatible inserts and gaskets, grease approved for contact with water and periodic inspection of the cover and head are used.
