Aquaphor MORION semi-annual service – what the set includes

The set includes original Aquaphor brand cartridges intended for the Aquaphor MORION water filter. It is a set prepared for the semi-annual replacement of elements responsible for the initial and thorough water filtration.

How the cartridges in the set work

K5 cartridge – pre-filtration and protection of subsequent stages

K5 is a replaceable filter cartridge made of 100% polypropylene. Its task is to trap mechanical impurities present in the water before it reaches the further purification stages.

In practice, the K5 cartridge primarily captures:

• sand,
• rust,
• other mechanical impurities.

The cartridge works as a pre-filter, thanks to which it protects the later filtration stages from excessive load. It is used in filters with a separate tap and removes impurities down to 5 microns.

K2 cartridge – carbon block for improved water quality

K2 is a replaceable filter cartridge made in carbon block technology. Its design uses Aqualen fiber and activated coconut carbon. This combination is responsible for the effective reduction of impurities affecting the taste, smell, and overall quality of the water.

The K2 cartridge effectively removes from water:

• organic compounds,
• free chlorine.

The cartridge removes impurities down to 3 microns. The applied ion-exchange Aqualen fiber, together with modified selective chelating compounds, deeply and effectively removes heavy metals from water. In addition, the cartridge contains safe silver in an active ionic form.
