Original Aquafilter cartridge set for the FP3 filter and 3-stage filters

The set includes three original Aquafilter cartridges, adapted for use in standard 10-inch housings. The set has been prepared for use in the FP3 filter as well as in other 3-stage water filtration systems of the same standard.

The set includes cartridges with PZH approval:

• FCPS5 10" polypropylene filter
• FCCSKDF 10" carbon filter with KDF media
• FCCST-2 10" deironing and softening filter

How does this 3-stage water filtration system work?

The set works in stages, so each filter cartridge is responsible for a different area of water quality improvement. This arrangement helps protect subsequent filtration media, improves the usable properties of the water, and supports the proper operation of the entire set.

Stage 1: FCPS5 – 5 micron mechanical filtration

FCPS5 is a cartridge made of polypropylene nonwoven fabric with a filtration rating of 5 microns. Its task is to remove mechanical, that is sedimentary, impurities present in both well water and tap water.

The cartridge effectively retains fine fractions of solid contaminants, such as silt, sludge, and other particles larger than 5 microns. Impurities of this type may occur naturally in water or enter it during distribution through the system.

The original Aquafilter cartridge is widely used in under-sink and in-line filters. It performs an important protective function for subsequent cartridges such as carbon, softening, or deironing cartridges, as well as for the water installation and fixtures themselves.

The cartridge is made of high-quality foam, that is polypropylene nonwoven fabric, formed in a way that ensures water filtration through the entire structure of the cartridge.

Stage 2: FCCSKDF / FCCBKDF – carbon cartridge with KDF

The second filtration stage is a carbon cartridge filled with activated carbon from coconut shells and KDF media. This solution is responsible for improving organoleptic parameters and reducing selected chemical contaminants.

Activated carbon from coconut shells removes chlorine, chlorinated solvents, and aromatic hydrocarbons from the water, thereby improving the taste and odor of the water. It also reduces polycyclic compounds, phenol, benzene, and organic substances.

The KDF media inhibits the growth of bacterial flora on the filtration bed, lowers the concentration of heavy metals in the water such as arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury, and also helps reduce iron, hydrogen sulfide, and pesticides.

The cartridge is intended for treating cold drinking water or utility water. It should not be used for microbiologically contaminated water or water of unknown origin.

Stage 3: FCCST-2 – deironing and softening of water

The third cartridge is FCCST-2, a cartridge with active media for deironing and softening water. It effectively retains iron and calcium compounds dissolved in water, making it a practical solution where metallic taste, sediment, and excessive water hardness are a problem.

The cartridge is used to protect household appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers, as well as heating devices. The fine-grained granulate used in it is distinguished by a high capacity for capturing iron, calcium, and hydrogen sulfide ions.

The cartridge was designed to improve the taste and odor of water by removing metallic taste, white deposits, and unpleasant odor. It has its own final filter that prevents granulate particles from escaping beyond the filter.

The FCCST-2 model is intended for standard 10-inch housings and can be used in in-line, under-sink, and standing filters.

The Aquafilter FP3 cartridge set is suitable wherever an effective water filtration system based on standard 10-inch cartridges is needed. It is a good choice for under-sink filters and selected in-line and standing filters.

The set supports improved quality of cold utility and drinking water, helping reduce mechanical impurities, chlorine, selected organic substances, some heavy metals, hydrogen sulfide, and compounds affecting hardness and the presence of iron in water.
