The set includes four original Aquafilter filter cartridges designed for a 4-stage filter:

How this cartridge set works

The set combines four different water treatment methods, so it can serve as an effective, multi-stage service set for standard 10-inch housings. Each cartridge is responsible for a different area of filtration, and together they form a coherent system that improves the quality of domestic water.

The first stage captures mechanical impurities, the next reduces water hardness, the following improves taste and smell and reduces chlorine and selected organic contaminants, and the last supports the removal of iron compounds and reduces a metallic aftertaste. This arrangement helps protect more expensive filter cartridges, fixtures, the installation, and household appliances.

Characteristics of the individual cartridges

FCPS20 – mechanical cartridge made of 20-micron polypropylene nonwoven

FCPS20 is a sediment cartridge made of high-quality foam, that is, polypropylene nonwoven, formed in a way that ensures water filtration through the entire structure of the cartridge. A filtration accuracy of 20 microns means that the cartridge effectively removes mechanical impurities from water, such as silt, sludge, and other fine solid particles larger than 20 microns.

This solution is useful both for water from a private well and for municipal water, where contaminants can enter during transmission. The cartridge is often used in under-sink and inline filters as effective protection for subsequent filtration stages, including carbon, softening, and iron-removal cartridges, as well as for the water installation itself and fixtures.

FCCST – softening cartridge with ion-exchange granulate

FCCST is a filter cartridge designed to soften water. It reduces calcium and magnesium ions, replacing them with harmless sodium ions, thereby helping to limit scale buildup. It is recommended for protecting household appliances, heating equipment, and plumbing systems against the accumulation of calcium and magnesium deposits.

This cartridge combines the action of an ion-exchange bed with additional mechanical pre-filtration, so it works well as part of a water filtration system focused on improving domestic water quality and protecting the installation.

FCCBL-S – granular carbon cartridge made from coconut shells

FCCBL-S is a carbon cartridge with granular activated carbon made from coconut shells. It was designed to reduce chlorine and its derivatives, as well as to significantly improve water taste and smell. Thanks to its granular bed-based design, the cartridge does not cause a pressure drop in the installation, so it is also well suited for installation at the water inlet to the house.

This is an important water treatment stage wherever the user expects better organoleptic properties and reduced selected chemical and organic contaminants.

FCCFE – iron-removal cartridge with active bed

FCCFE is a cartridge with an active bed designed for iron removal from water. It effectively captures iron compounds dissolved in water, helping protect washing machines, dishwashers, and heating equipment. The cartridge contains a special fine-grained granulate with a high ability to capture iron ions.

The cartridge design has been developed to effectively improve water taste and smell by reducing its metallic aftertaste. The cartridge has its own end filter that prevents granulate particles from escaping beyond the filter. The composition of the beds inside the housing corrects the water reaction (pH), which improves the iron-removal process.

The cartridge is placed in standard 10-inch housings. It can operate in inline, under-sink, and standing filters. The water flow is suitable for a single draw-off point, for example before a kitchen tap.
