Complete 4-stage pre-filter for the home

This is a complete 4-stage pre-filter designed for installation at the inlet of a home plumbing system. The set has been designed to provide a broad range of water treatment right at the beginning of the installation, before the water reaches draw-off points and household appliances.

The system provides:

• precise mechanical filtration,
• water softening,
• iron removal,
• reduction of chlorine, phenol, benzene and other organic compounds.

The set includes a spare starter cartridge pack, so the system is ready to use immediately after installation.

How 4-stage filtration works

The 4-stage filtration is provided by specialized Aquafilter cartridges. Each stage is responsible for a different scope of water treatment, so the entire system works in multiple stages and comprehensively.

Stage I – FCPS20

Polypropylene nonwoven cartridge with 20 micron precision. It is an effective cartridge for filtering mechanical, i.e. sediment, impurities from water.

Cartridge advantages:

• very high filtration precision,
• removes fine fractions of solid impurities from water, such as silt, sludge and similar deposits larger than 20 microns, present both in well water and municipal water,
• serves as protection for expensive carbon, softening and iron-removal cartridges, as well as the water installation and fittings themselves,
• the cartridge is made of high-quality foam, i.e. polypropylene nonwoven, formed in a way that ensures water filtration through the entire cartridge structure.

Cartridge life: 3-6 months depending on water quality.

Stage II – FCCST

Water softening cartridge with ion-exchange granules. It removes calcium and magnesium ions from the water, replacing them with harmless sodium ions. It is recommended for protecting household appliances, heating equipment and plumbing systems against the accumulation of calcium and magnesium deposits, i.e. limescale.

Cartridge advantages:

• the cartridge contains technologically treated ion-exchange granules with grain sizes from 0.2 to 0.7 mm,
• it is characterized by an exceptionally effective ability to exchange calcium and magnesium ions for sodium ions, softening the water,
• used for cold and hot utility water,
• prevents limescale buildup in household appliances and industrial machines,
• the cartridge components have been approved by NSF and FDA,
• the cartridge has a PZH hygienic certificate,
• designed so that the water flowing through the cartridge penetrates the entire ion-exchange granule bed, ensuring maximum performance.

Cartridge life: 3-6 months depending on water quality.

Stage III – FCCFE

Cartridge with an active bed for iron removal from water. It effectively retains dissolved iron compounds in water and is used to protect household appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers, as well as heating equipment.

The iron removal cartridge contains a special fine-grained granulate with a high ability to capture iron ions. It has been designed to improve the taste and smell of water as effectively as possible by removing its specific metallic aftertaste. It has its own final filter that prevents granulate particles from escaping outside the filter. The composition of the filter beds inside the cartridge housing adjusts the water reaction, i.e. pH, to improve the iron removal process.

Cartridge advantages:

• characterized by an exceptional ability to capture iron ions,
• contains technologically treated ion-exchange granules with grain sizes from 0.2 to 0.7 mm,
• used for cold and hot utility water,
• prevents yellow stains on clothes and brown, rust-colored streaks on sink and bathtub surfaces,
• the cartridge has PZH hygienic approvals,
• made of materials approved by NSF and FDA,
• water flowing through the cartridge penetrates the entire ion-exchange granule bed, ensuring maximum performance,
• the cartridge effectively eliminates the metallic taste and smell of water,
• it has a polypropylene filter insert with a filtration precision of 10 microns, additionally protecting the cartridge.

Stage IV – FCCBL-S

Granular carbon cartridge with coconut shell carbon. Granular carbon cartridges remove chlorine and its derivatives from water while improving its taste and smell. Because granular cartridges do not cause a pressure drop in the system, they are very well suited for installation at the home water inlet.

Cartridge advantages:

• removes up to 99% of free chlorine from water and chlorine-derived substances,
• removes organic contaminants, including phenol and benzene,
• contains coconut shell carbon and removes heavy metals: Pb, Cu, Hg, Sr, Cs,
• softens water,
• helps reduce scale buildup,
• ensures excellent filtration even with pressure drop,
• removes up to 85% of chlorinated pesticides,
• removes mechanical impurities down to 5 microns,
• improves water taste and smell,
• stands out for the very long life of the carbon cartridge.

Pressure gauges for easy filter monitoring

The set includes 2 pressure gauges. They allow pressure readings, which is very useful during everyday use and makes it easier to determine when cartridge replacement is approaching.

Centering discs with antibacterial technology

The system uses centering discs made with BACInix™ antibacterial technology based on nanosilver. This is a bacteriostatic agent that prevents the growth of microorganisms inside the filtration system, which extends service life and protects the system against microbiological contamination.

Centering disc:

• facilitates correct cartridge installation,
• prevents the growth of bacterial flora,
• reduces the risk of pathogenic microorganisms developing,
